For new tobacco products which are products other than cigarettes, roll-your-own tobacco, pipe tobacco, water pipe tobacco, cigars, cigarillos, chewing tobacco, snuff and tobacco for oral use and which are placed on the market after May 19, 2014, an additional notification is sent 6 months before placing on the market.

This notification includes studies relating in particular to the toxicity, the effects of dependence, the attractiveness and the market of the product and includes the following elements:
